While both are at risk, business owners are more at risk. Statistically, Cyberattacks occur every 39 seconds. 43% of those cyberattacks target small businesses, and only about 14% are prepared to defend themselves against those attacks.

That’s just the defending part, where your security layers matter, when it comes to recovery, it can be very costly between lost revenue, lost reputation, and regulatory investigations and fines.

There are things you can do to protect yourself and your business online. Implementing the first layer of cybersecurity is a great start. As you continue implementing each layer, your security against cyberattacks increases.
